Now you are in your senior year, you may be thinking about graduate/professional school, or looking for a job where you can use your biology degree. If you are planning to take full-time employment after graduation, you should use the resources available through the University Career and Employment Services office; make an appointment with them to find out how best to pursue your career goals.
If you are not sure what careers you can pursue with a biology degree, click on the Jobs and Careers link on this website. This information will help you start a job search to match your interests with the job market.
A Major Certification form, along with an Application for Degree, must be submitted to College Student Academic Services (109 Strong Hall) before you can graduate.
Deadline to submit these forms is:
- Spring – April 15 (to guarantee inclusion in the official Commencement program, students should turn in AFD by March 1)
- Summer – July 15
- Fall – December 1
Additional graduation information can be found on the College Student Academic Services website.
- The Application for Degree form is available in 109 Strong.
- The Major Certification form—available in 109 Strong or 2045 Haworth—must be completed by your Biology advisor who will evaluate the courses you have taken and list those remaining to be completed for your degree.
- Current KUUB's advisor contact information is available at http://www2.ku.edu/cgiwrap/kuub/advising.php. (When meeting with your advisor, you need to bring an up-to-date ARTS form to the meeting.)
